What is an open box?
An open box is a way to keep adding to your order slowly. And only pay one lot of shipping. Customers can place as many orders as they wish in a period of 3 weeks. And then their box will be packed and sent as 1 big order. It's a great way for customer who is placing several small orders in a small time frame; to save on shipping costs.
How much is shipping?
Customers will need to pay 1 lot of $15 shipping with their first order. All consecutive orders will be added to the same shipment. So that no additional shipping fees will apply.
Once one open box has been sent. If the customer wishes to start another. A new $15 shipping fee will be required.
What if I start an open box but want my items shipped now?
Open boxes are open for a maximum of 3 weeks. After that 3 weeks your time to add to your open box is over and it will be shipped on the next business day. If you want your box sooner than 3 weeks, simply contact us via our instagram page and quote your order number (can be found in confirmation emails), and request that your box be closed early and sent asap. Your box will them be sent on the next business day.
What if my order comes to more than $150, do I still get free shipping?
No. Open boxes are a service that takes additional admin work. Because we aren't charging for that additional service, shipping of $15 must be paid once per open box. Regardless of how big or small an order is. If you have an open box active. It will be added to that order unless you contact us and request shipping separately.
Tracking numbers?
Due to all items being sent in one large open box, they will have the same tracking number. You will be sent shipping confirmation emails as usual once the orders have all been shipped. 1 email per individual order.
Why can open boxes only be open for 3 weeks maximum?
Crystal Nebula is run from a spare room in a unit. Because of this, space is limited. There physically isn't enough room to have so many open boxes sitting around.
This 3 weeks also prevents people from forgetting that they have an open box and leaving their stock on my shelves indefinitely. No time to forget you have an active order.
This is why shipping payments are required on the first order for an open box.
What if I don't pay shipping on the first order?
Your order will simply be cancelled and refunded. Shipping is a term of open boxes, and if a customer breaks that term, their order will be refunded and cancelled.
